Congratulations “Family Traditions” was nominated in three categories: Best Combination Show, Sportsman of the Year and Viewer Favorite Personality for 2008. The show and host Haley Heath took top honors from viewers of the Sportsman Channel and won the coveted Viewer Favorite Personality Award.

This is the first time that the Viewer Favorite Personality Award has gone to a female. This is quite an accomplishment – and this is the first year for “Family Traditions.”

I was first introduced to the sport of hunting at the age of twelve by my Grandfather. He shared his life long passion of hunting with me and taught me how to become an ethical hunter. I now have the opportunity to do the same and pass along this great family tradition of hunting and love for the outdoors with my children.

From the time he could hunt in his home state of Wisconsin, Steve chased whitetail deer, grouse, turkeys, and any other critter with a season.  He has been fortunate enough to hunt some of North Americas greatest game animals like Antelope, Whitetail Deer, Elk, Bear, and Turkeys.
